“For me, Yoga is all about healing.”

For me, Yoga is all about healing. When I was 14 I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and M.E. As a result of being chronically ill for so long, I also began to experience anxiety and depression.

I began Yoga as a way to build some much-needed physical strength. However, I soon discovered the healing power of Yoga not only on the body, but also the mind. Yoga continues to help my physical and mental health to this day.

I am now passionate about spreading the magic of Yoga with as many people as possible, and believe in the importance of introducing Yoga and mindfulness to children and teenagers, especially in today's modern stressful world.

My passion for Yoga goes back to when I was around 23. I actually had to be talked into going to my first class!

I had recently had a big relapse in my physical and mental health, and assumed I would be "bad" at whatever you had to do at Yoga. However, I was desperate for any way to feel better, so gave it a try.

Thank goodness I did!

What a shock it was to me that you can't be bad at Yoga! That Yoga and Mindfulness are simply about being present in the moment, and listening to your body.

At the end of that first class I felt a tiny moment of what I now recognise as PEACEFULNESS. I had been anxious for so long it felt strange, but kind of amazing.

So I kept getting back on my mat, and am now very happy to call this magical thing my job!

I studied Early Years Education at University, Qualified with The Teen Yoga Foundation in 2017, am an Aromatouch Massage Therapist, and completed my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Bali with The Santosha Yoga Institute.

A passion for Yoga

Kind words from others:

“I think it’s super important to introduce the concept of being completely present in the current moment, particularly as this generation is being raised in a world full of technology and multitasking.”
